Be Brave to Speak! - How to Dealing with Your Nervousness to Speak in Front of People

          Do you ever look some people who have good confidence while speaking in front of many people? Do you ever think that how good they speak seems they do not have any nervousness? I do not think so, because everyone will always have any nervousness when they want to start speak in fron of many people. Fear in public speaking is a common form of anxiety. It is because people usually worry to make a mistake, having a thought that they will not be good enough in speaking, they are not confidence because they have to speak in front of some personages, or even they have their new experience in speaking. However, with some preparations and persistences, you can overcome your fear and nervousness when you speak in front of many people. So, here are some tips for you, to be a good speaker and overcome your nervousness.

          1. Know your topic.

          The better you understand what you are going to talk about, the less you will make a mistake. If you do get lost or forget, you will be able to recover fast. Take some time to consider what questions which the audience may ask and have your responses ready.

          2. Get organized.

          Be carefull on planning out the information that you want to present, including any props, audio or visual aids. The more organized you are, the less nervous you will be. Use an outline on a small card to stay on track.

          3. Practice more.

          Practice your complete presentation several times. Do it for some people you're comfortable with and ask for their feedback. So that, you can evaluate your mistake. You can also consider making a video of your presentation so you can watch it and see opportunities for improvement.

          4. Visualize your success.

          Imagine that your presentation will go well. Positive thoughts can help decrease some of your negativity about your social performance and relieve some anxiety. So, you have to change your mindset to be positive thought that you can do it well and successfully.

          Nervousness or anxiety in certain situations is normal, and public speaking is not the exception. Known as performance anxiety, but people with severe performance anxiety that includes significant anxiety in other social situations may have social anxiety disorder (also called social phobia). So, to overcome your fear in speaking in front of people, you have to do some preparations which will help you decrease your nervousness.
